Step by step
Top Up Your Wallet
Add funds to your BlackCatWins wallet using your debit or credit card via Stripe. Your balance is stored securely and can be used for any competition.
Buy a Ticket
Browse active competitions and buy a ticket with your wallet balance. Each ticket gives you one attempt at the quiz for that competition.
Answer 18 Questions
Start the quiz when you're ready. You'll face 18 multiple-choice questions — 6 easy, 6 medium, and 6 hard — drawn at random from the competition's question pool.
10 Seconds Per Question
Each question must be answered within 10 seconds. If time runs out, the question counts as wrong. Speed matters — your total time is used to break ties.
Score = Correct Answers + Speed
Your final score is determined first by the number of correct answers, then by how fast you answered them. The fastest score wins if two players are equal.
Best Score Wins the Prize
Once the competition closes, the player with the highest score (and fastest time in case of a tie) wins the prize. Winners are contacted directly by email.
Rules
- Each ticket gives exactly one quiz attempt — it cannot be restarted once started.
- Navigating away or refreshing during the quiz counts as abandonment — your score will be 0.
- Correct answers are checked server-side. The answer is never exposed to the browser.
- This is a skill competition under UK Gambling Act 2005 §14. Winners are determined by skill, not chance.
- You must be registered and logged in to participate.
- All prices are in British Pounds (GBP). Wallet top-ups are non-refundable unless stated otherwise.
